We are so excited to finally have open doors at our brick-and-mortar location after nearly four years of traveling with the caboose! This location is a two-story community hub and coffee shop complete with a cafe, quiet area, and greenhouse. Also, there’s a kickass, locally-sourced menu!
This shop is founded on a love of the environment, inclusion, diversity, locally sourced goods, lifting each other up, community, femme energy, coffee skills, and open minds. Respect for all humans!
You can read more about how our shop came to be on our blog!
Our Divine Goddess Blend, pour over, and decaf beans are all roasted in-house by Noah and Bill from Gooseneck Coffee Co. You can take a peek at their operation in the roasting room located in the greenhouse! #DrifterxGooseneck
We announced we joined forces in Summer 2018, and officially became roomies in Spring 2019! Here’s a bit about Gooseneck:
“We are an artisan micro coffee roaster, sourcing high quality, specialty-grade beans that are organic and fair trade when possible. We carefully take the time to select the best quality beans from many countries and regions. Then we take even more time roasting what we’ve selected multiple ways and tasting them until we find what brings out the best possible flavors for that specific coffee.”
In the spirit of feminism, Gooseneck sources our beans through Women Coffee Producers, a nationwide collective of programs through coffee importers that focus on women-run farms. We love these guys and know you will, too!
WE HAVE ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS YOU WANT TO KNOW!
Q: What kind of events can I have at the shop?
A: So many! We’re open to clubs of all sorts, workshops, meetings, parties, showers, classes, concerts, open mics, and more! Coffee & food packages are also available. Definitely send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org!
Q: Is the shop handicap accessible? What about a gender-neutral restroom?
A: But of course! This shop is founded on inclusivity! Our handicap parking is located next to our two handicap entrances through the greenhouse. There is a ramp to the cafe space which includes additional handicap bar seating! A gender-neutral, handicap accessible restroom is located directly off of the cafe (There’s a changing table in there, too!).
Q: What’s on the menu?
A: We made a whole page for that! Check the navigation bar or click here. (Note: seasonal specials may not be listed online)
Q: Do you roast in-shop?
A: Our Divine Goddess house blend, pour over, and decaf beans are all roasted in-house by Gooseneck Coffee Co.
Q: Are children welcome?
A: You betcha! Our greenhouse even has a kids area with toys and other activities so you can enjoy your joe in peace.
Q: Can I bring my own mug?
A: Sure! We just ask that it’s as clean as possible. Our shop is extremely low waste. We recycle and compost, too!
Q: Who designed the space?
A: Our buds at Five Eighths Architecture led the project with the help of local partners for detail work! Check out their feature on our shop here.
